If approved, it would fund county-wide projects, including rebuilding Hilton Head High School, a new Bluffton elementary school, security upgrades, and more. The Jazz Corner has been a staple of the Hilton Head Island music scene since 1999. Since it was founded by Bob Masteller, it has been named among the top music venues in the country and hosted many jazz greats. The Junior Jazz Foundation was also founded to promote jazz education and performance. To celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month, we have Jazz Corner owner David Masteller and long-time resident musician Martin Lesch in our studio to talk about educating our youth, the club’s legacy and more.
